A Bus Trip

7/11/2012 - Wednesday ( On the bus heading to the direction of my home)

The bus was pretty crowded. Beside me was a toddler and his father. When the bus started to move, suddenly the bell keep ringing. I was curious who would press the bell when the bus just started leaving the interchange. Then I remember that the bell sound is meant for the wheelchair section bell. I was standing near there so I looked who was playing with it. It was the toddler. I looked at his father and he pretended nothing happen. The bus driver was asking what happen , but he could not turn back his head as he need to focus on the road. After that, I told the father that his child was playing with the bell. He just answer with a "Oh" and let his child continue to play with it. It was until at the traffic light there, the bus driver had a chance to turn back and shouted to that father, demand him to stop his child from playing the bell. Seeing everyone staring at him, that guy immediately and finally stopped his son from playing.

But this is not the end of their inconsiderate act. After the bus arrived the next bus stop, they suddenly stood in the middle of the bus. I thought they were alighting, but I was wrong. They just stood there, don't want to move in and there's still several people who unable to board the bus. The girl behind them have to squeeze through them to make way for those people. It was only the next two bus-stop then they alighted. If it's the child who was inconsiderate, perhaps I could understand. However, his father too was inconsiderate. I hope there isn't much people like him.

Though I saw such inconsiderate acts, but I saw a kind act as well. It doesn't matter if the act is small, but is still kind. A lady holding quite lot of things manage a seat. But then there was another lady board the bus with her two daughters. One seems to be primary student , the other seems to be age 3-4.  Upon sawing that, she gave up her seat to that young girl, afraid that the young girl would fall in the bus. The mother was grateful to the lady, and they had some nice chat during the bus trip. Such a small kind act, but it had already warm my heart. Such acts should be encourage and it will be a really good world, society to be in.
